From a translation of Ilchi Lee’s book The Power of the BrainWithout a goal, we have no choice but to endlessly chase after the thoughts of others. We envy those who know more or have more than we do, and we live out our lives completely forgetting our own brains. Such things happen to us often unless we are focused on ourselves.
I realize that I need to develop more dahnjon power so I can better focus on myself and not be so affected by the whims and thoughts of others. Dahnjon Power!!!

Currently, all standards of school education are adjusted to the needs of the school rather than those of the child, to the teacher or administrator rather than the learner. And the method of teaching, too, is heavily weighted toward unilateral indoctrination rather than individual intellectual development.
This is why we need more BE classes!

Today we started out our morning class with the Bounce basum dance. During sharing time many members commented about how they love starting class dancing. They said dancing helps them to forget about their outside worries and just focus on their body. And after the lively music has stopped and they’ve broken a sweat, they can go deeper inside during do-in exercises.

Today I realized one big thing. What I want I must really want it. If in my mind I even have a slight thought that I can’t do it. It comes true. For example I really wanted to study about Ilchi Lee’s books and education videos, but everytime I try something happens that was more important so I’m not able to study.
A friend of mine said to me that really shocked my brain. She said in the back of my mind, I don’t really want to study so that is why something always comes up. She said at that time I need to change my brain and say I really want to do it! That is how I can change that habit of thinking.
Wow! So, it dawned to me that is what I have been repeat over the past few months. So now I decided I will TAKE BACK MY BRAIN!!

Suffering, Transience, Selflessness Ilchi Lee’s Inspiration from Wisdom of the Chun Bu Kyung

/Sam/ Three
Life is suffering. Everything changes. I don’t exist. When we open our eyes to the fact that our body and emotions are not who we are, that’s when we see through the suffering and transience of life to discover the living divinity that moves within us.
I learned these lessons in the Tao Fellowship program after shim sung. Everyone should take tao fellowship at least 3 times. It really awakens your brain!

Today our regional director gave us a special training - deep jung choong breating. I’m so excited because after 2 years I’m finally getting the feeling of jung choong breathing. I focused on keeping my entire back flat on the floor which helped me breath a lot more deeply. I have too much curve in my lower back, so i have to use some adbomen strength to push my lower back flat to the floor. It created a straight line from the top of my head down to my tail bone. I could feel a lot of energy move down the line to my dahn jon. What a great feeling!!!
The most important awakening from tonight’s training is that it’s in the exhale that we accumlate energy, not the inhale. Like most of the world, I used to believe the opposite. Now I know and I’ll focus on my exhale a lot more as I go through my day!!!
Thank you Ilchi Lee for giving us this precious gift.

Ilchi Lee’s Inspiration from Wisdom of the Chun Bu Kyung

/Ji/ Earth, Land, Ground
The Earth grows all things and richly, but is not obsessed with them. The Earth is also indifferent, sending off the lives it has raised when their time comes. The great love that embraces all things springs from that indifference.
There is such beauty in indifferent unconditional love.
